Pakistani man who donned wolf mask to ‘fight’ against COVID-19 featured in New York Post
A man, who was detained by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police on New Year’s Eve in Peshawar for scaring women and children by donning a wolf mask, has now been featured in an American publication New York Post after the incident made rounds on social media.

The guy named, Asad Khan, he loved in the city’s Moti neighbourhood, was making roaring noises while riding his motorcycle. The man, however, in his defense said that he had no such intentions, he was just doing it for fun and he was following the SOPs as put forward by the authority figures.
The furry suspect had a bone to pick with police, saying he wasn’t trying to frighten anyone — but was merely obeying the government’s mandate to wear a mask amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Social media users howled at the images of the short man, who is seen on his bike and later — still wearing the grotesque mask — chained to a police officer.
“Maybe he didn’t want to take risk in such epidemic. That mask is a foolproof weapon for fighting against Covid-19,” one user said on Twitter.
Another wrote: “People get scared of the dude and don’t come out on new year during Covid times, everyone stays safe. Isn’t this a good thing?”
And a third said in a tweet that the man “was reported to the police by a girl wearing a red riding hood.”
It was not immediately clear if the suspect has been charged.
