Woman sticks up signs to chat up neighbour but his reply ‘breaks her heart’
A single woman has opened up about the drastic measures she took to get the attention of a boy she liked.
The woman from London shared her ‘lockdown love story’ on TikTok, where she’s known as @a129593a, in a video that has since been viewed more than 250,000 times.
After spotting a boy who lived across from her sitting on his balcony and playing his guitar in his bedroom, she attempted to get his attention by writing a giant sign to stick in her window.
In giant black letters, it said: “@ the man with a bike on his balcony.
“R U single?”
After spotting the message, he replied – but his response left her ‘heartbroken.’
Although he was single, he revealed that he is due to move house.
He wrote back: “Yes but I’m moving in 2 month’s time. Sorry. Ps, stay romantic.”
Undeterred, she gives him her number anyway, saying it’s ‘worth a try’.
Amazingly he texts her back, saying: “I’m your neighbour across the gardens”, followed by a lengthy message – and TikTok users were dying to know what he said.
Since being posted, the clip has received more than 27,000 likes and 400 comments from people who were gripped by their love story.
