Olivia Wilde received legal papers at CinemaCon.
According to a recent rumor, Olivia Wilde was ‘mortified’ when her ex-fiancé Jason Sudeikis handed her custody papers as she was promoting her next film Don’t Worry Darling at CinemaCon.
The A Vigilante star ‘did not want to express a reaction’ after going through the contents of the papers in front of 4,000 people at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, according to an insider.
“Olivia was confused when she was handed the envelope, and she was much more confused when she opened it,” the source told the magazine.
“It seemed unimaginable to her at first, and it took a while for it to sink in, but as humiliating as it was, she didn’t want to react,” the insider continued, adding that the mother of two was “determined to power through.”
“She was there to launch a project that is near and dear to her heart, and for someone to try to take that moment away from her — whether it was Jason, a process server, or anyone else,” the source stated.
The 38-year-old actress was on stage promoting her new drama when she was handed a ‘Personal and Confidential’ envelope.
Wilde mistook the papers for an unsolicited script and was delivered them on stage in the middle of her performance, as the audience exclaimed, “This is for me?”
She merely said, “Okay, got it.” after skimming over it. “Thank you,” she said, and resumed where she had left off.
“Papers were set up to establish jurisdiction relative to the children of Ms. Wilde and Mr. Sudeikis,” a source later said of the documents.
In 2011, Wilde and Sudeikis began dating and were engaged two years later. They did, however, separate ways in 2020. The couple has two children: an eight-year-old son named Otis and a five-year-old daughter named Daisy Josephine.
