The President pays a visit to the Chinese embassy.
President Dr. Arif Alvi paid a solemn visit to the Chinese Embassy today, expressing his condolences for the death of Chinese people in the recent terrorist incident in Karachi.
The president told the Charge d’Affaires Pang Chunxue and staff of the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad that the entire Pakistani nation is in tremendous anguish and shock as a result of the tragic occurrence and shares their sadness.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to leave no stone unturned in ensuring the safety of Chinese nationals and bringing the perpetrators of this horrific crime to justice. The President, while condemning the event, stated that some hostile countries are attempting to destroy the Pak-China friendship and the CPEC initiative, but that their plans will fail.
He stated that both countries have a great friendship and are dedicated to further improving it in all weather conditions.
He requested that the Charge d’Affaires express his profound condolences to the Chinese people, the Communist Party, and President Xi Jinping.
The Charge d’Affaires expressed gratitude to the President for his visit to the Embassy and expressed sympathy with the Chinese people and government. She stated that the two countries have a common future and a long history of friendship and collaboration.
