Travis Scott execute at the Billboard Music Awards.
Six months after the Astroworld tragedy, Travis Scott is set to perform at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards.
The Goosebumps rapper will make his first major public appearance since the catastrophe at his Astroworld festival in 2021, when a crowd surge resulted in the deaths of ten concertgoers, 25 hospitalizations, and over 200 injuries.
Scott, aka Jacques Berman Webster II, has been added to the lineup of performers for the MGM Grand Garden Arena event on Sunday (May 15).
The Out West singer has also been nominated for a remix of his song Goosebumps by HVME in the Best Dance/Electronic Song category.
Aside from Scott, the forthcoming musical event will feature performances by Ed Sheeran, Becky G, and a collaboration between Elle King and Miranda Lambert.
Scott, on the other hand, has lately returned to the stage. In March, he played at a private pre-Oscars party, and the following month, he performed at a private Coachella after party.
The rapper also performed a 45-minute set at E11even nightclub in Miami over the weekend, his first public performance since the Astroworld disaster.
