Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is projected to feature a 200-megapixel camera sensor.

Samsung introduced the world’s first smartphone camera sensor with a 200-megapixel resolution. Although this sensor has yet to be shown on a device, it appears that it has already been superseded by something better. An improved version of the 200MP sensor is near completion, according to source, and will supposedly debut in a future flagship smartphone — like the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra — in 2023.

We don’t know which smartphone the new ISOCELL HP3 will debut on because we’re still early in the process. However, based on the release date, it will almost certainly be featured in the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. Keep in mind that anything might happen. In the months ahead, hopefully, more information will become available, giving us a better picture of Samsung’s future plans.

Samsung unveiled its 108MP camera sensor on the Galaxy S20 Ultra in 2020. The same sensor would be used in the Galaxy S21 Ultra the following year. For the Galaxy S22 Ultra, Samsung kept the same 108MP sensor. Despite being far ahead of most of its competitors in terms of megapixels, Samsung could try to boost the ante in 2023. It could breathe new life into its flagship line’s camera technology if it chooses to update to the reported 200MP sensor.

Of course, because we’re still early in the process, we don’t know which smartphone the new ISOCELL HP3 will be released with.
