New British sanctions levied against Putin’s alleged mistress and ex-wife.
As part of her effort to dismantle the “shady network” funding Russia’s war machine, Liz Truss issued a dozen more travel bans and asset freezes today.
Among them was Alina Kabaeva, a retired Olympic gymnast who is Putin’s rumored lover and is even pregnant with his love kid.
The tyrant, who is 69 years old, is claimed to have at least two sons with the former athlete, who is 38 years old.
Kabaeva, who was once a deputy in the Duma for Putin’s United Russia party, is currently the CEO of Russia’s largest private media company.
Ms Truss also sanctioned Putin’s ex-wife, Lyudmila Ocheretnaya, whom he divorced in 2014.
She has “benefitted from favorable economic agreements with state-owned businesses,” according to the Foreign Office.
In a £117 billion penalty package, the UK has sanctioned over 1,000 Moscow goons and firms so far.
Ms Truss claimed that today’s round, which includes Putin’s business associates and cousins, targets his “pocket.”
She dismissed Kremlin allegations that Putin lives in a small apartment and drove a beat-up 1950s car.
According to rumors, he is related to a £566 million yacht and the $1 billion “Putin’s Palace,” according to the Foreign Office.
“We’re exposing and attacking the murky network supporting Putin’s lavish lifestyle and tightening the vice on his inner circle,” Ms Truss said.
We will continue to impose sanctions on anyone who helps Putin.
