The other victim was a 16-year-old Texas boy who was shot in the wrist. “My suspicion is that they are just bystanders who happened to be here at the time,” she stated.

Sheriff LaJoye-Young noted that both patients were taken to the hospital and were in stable condition as of 9:45 p.m. on Thursday.”

The sheriff stated that her office was aware of at least two shooters, who were still on the loose as of 10 p.m. yesterday (Thursday).

She continued, saying: “Tonight, I want the community to be on the lookout for these prospective suspects. We have no reason to believe they are returning or that they have a specific target in this area.” This scene is now secure, but I can’t be sure what their objective is until we finish this case.”

Police earlier stated that one suspect remained at large. At 1 a.m., the Kent County Sheriff’s Office tweeted that they were “on the scene of a shooting incident at East Kentwood High School.” There has been one confirmed shooting.
