Polls are inappropriate under the existing ECP.
On Friday, PTI Secretary General Asad Umar stated that his party had lost faith in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and requested that it be reconstituted.
Following the issuance of the order in the matter of the dissident MPAs, the PTI leader made these remarks outside the ECP headquarters in the federal capital.
According to Asad Umar, if general elections were held under the existing ECP without the approval of the country’s main political party, the people would question the elections’ legitimacy.
In an interview with reporters, he emphasized the importance of new elections.
He claimed Imran Khan was conducting war against dirt in politics, such as the buying and selling of conscience for financial gain.
With the disqualification of 25 traitors, the PTI leader emphasized that the remainder of the plot, which resulted in a change of government, should be overturned as well.
“Following the ECP’s decision against the turncoats, there is no longer any rationale for the Punjab administration to function,” he continued.
He claimed that individuals who used to say ridiculous things, including the present Prime Minister, are now begging for a meeting of the National Security Committee to decide on the price of gasoline.
The PTI has asked that ECP members quit on numerous occasions, accusing Chief Election Commissioner Sikamnndar Sultan Raja of being a PML-N agent.
The Election Commission, on the other hand, has denied the charges, claiming that it is currently investigating them.
