Megan Markle’s father suffered a catastrophic stroke.
Thomas Markle, 77, became unwell in Mexico and was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
His son Thomas Jr., 55, was with him, and his daughter Samantha, 57, was rushing to his bedside Friday night. “We’re praying,” she said.
Meg, her estranged daughter, and Prince Harry are also scheduled to visit the UK for the Jubilee.
Thomas Sr is unable to talk after suffering a “major” stroke and being transported to the hospital while wearing an oxygen mask.
Meghan Markle’s father was taken to an ambulance on a cart.
He was then transported to Mexico for treatment.
The 77-year-old was claimed to have lost his speech after the incident on Monday night, which came after a health crisis last week, according to sources.
Friends reported his stroke was so severe that he could only communicate by scrawling words on a sheet of paper.
Meghan’s half-brother Thomas Jr, 55, was with their father when he became ill in Rosario, Mexico, where he lives.
Samantha, the father’s 57-year-old daughter, was said to be flying from Florida to be by his side Friday night.
“My father is healing in the hospital,” she added in a statement. We want privacy for the sake of his family’s health and well-being.” He simply requires serenity and rest. Godspeed. We’re going to pray.”
