As the sea turns red and a man yells as great white shark eats a seal off the beach.
As the sea turned red with blood, a Great White Shark was filmed eating a seal near a crowded beach.
It was the first sighting of the summer season in New England, United States, and officials warned beachgoers to be cautious.
The incident occurs two years after the last fatal shark attack in the region.
Will Little shot the video on a boat near the Great Point Lighthouse in Nantucket, Massachusetts, on Sunday.
The shark can be seen thrashing around in the water as people behind the camera yell at the seal, “Go! Swim!”
However, as the large predator strikes, one person exclaims, “Oh god, you can see the predator!”
In the background of the video, blood can be seen filling the water just a few hundred yards from the beach.
Shark season has arrived, but it is not expected to peak in the region until late summer or early autumn.
The video was first posted online by the Nantucket Current before being retweeted by the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy on Monday.
“As the summer season approaches, remember to report your white shark sightings to the app Sharktivity!” says the AWSC.
According to the organization, crowdsourcing these “critical data points” helps to reduce encounters and promote safety.
