Duchess of Cornwall was in pain on her wedding day.
Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, will be in the limited balcony line up for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Trooping the Colour parade, along with other royals.
Some royal watchers believe today’s lineup reflects Prince Charles’ long-held desire to slim down the monarchy.
The Queen will be present, along with her 73-year-old heir Charles and his wife Camilla, as well as Prince William, the second in line to the throne, with his wife Kate Middleton and their three children; and Charles’ siblings, Princess Anne and Prince Edward, along with their spouses.
Queen Victoria established the tradition of a balcony appearance when she transformed Buckingham Palace into the monarch’s residence.
Camilla, on the other hand, may be plagued by an ongoing health condition on the day.
Camilla’s sinusitis made her extremely ill on her wedding day
According to source, Camilla’s condition caused her to be so ill on the day of her wedding to Prince Charles in 2005 that she was unable to move.
“She was really ill, stressed,” Lucia Santa Cruz, the woman who introduced Charles and Camilla, said at the time.
She couldn’t even get out of bed.”
Sinusitis is an infection-related swelling of the sinuses.
The condition is said to be common and should go away in two to three weeks.
“You can often treat mild sinusitis without seeing a doctor,” says one expert.
