After being hit by a missile, a Russian amphibious armored vehicle explodes in flames.
It is unclear where the footage was shot, but it was obtained on Wednesday from the Ukrainian Ground Forces’ 30th Mechanised Brigade.
Footage purportedly showing Ukrainian forces taking out a Russian amphibious armored vehicle has emerged.
A military vehicle is seen on a road in a forested area before being hit and catching fire due to explosions.
It is currently unknown where the footage was shot, but it was obtained on Wednesday from the Ukrainian Ground Forces’ 30th Mechanized Brigade.
Its release coincides with the continuation of the conflict in Ukraine’s east.
According to the 30th Mechanised Brigade: “Our tankers understand how critical it is to save the country and people’s lives, so they simply do their job.” The destruction of the enemy is a very effective and fruitful matter. The enemy BMP is on fire.”
The term ‘BMP’ refers to an amphibious (suitable for both land and water) infantry fighting vehicle developed by the Soviet Union and primarily used by the Russian Armed Forces.
On February 24, Russian troops invaded Ukraine in what the Kremlin is still calling a “special military operation.”
The 106th day of the campaign is on Thursday.
According to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Russia lost 31,500 personnel between February 24th and June 8th.
