Every day, the dog waits in the same spot, hoping that someone will come and take him home.

Little Remy ‘put himself out there’ in search of a new home, and despite spending a year in the Howl of a Dog’s care before being adopted, he is now living happily in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Every day, he waited in the same spot, hoping that someone would notice him and take him home.

And, fortunately for him, that is exactly what occurred.

Howl of a Dog, an animal rescue organization dedicated to rehoming Romania’s unwanted dogs in Europe, America, and Canada, took Remy in.

In a small rural area of Romania, he was discovered during one of theirs pray and neuter campaigns.’

“He was living on the street, sleeping on the sidewalk, near a small grocery store where a kind lady fed him every day,” according to a spokeswoman. He’d come to greet us every morning, happily wagging his tail.

“Remy may have had an owner at some point in his life because he has a burn scar on his nose. There is a cruel ‘tradition’ in rural Romania of burning the dog’s nose with a hot iron to boost the immune system.”

Because the charity was unable to find a home for the three-year-old dog in the village, they took him with them and advertised him on Facebook.

“Remy is the most wonderful dog one could ever wish for – friendly, smart, and loyal,” it said.

Remy, on the other hand, ended up spending more than a year in Howl of a Dog’s care after potential owners repeatedly chose other dogs over him.

But, eventually, a family from Charlotte, North Carolina, came forward to offer him a home and a place in their hearts.

“It’s been a long journey for Remy, but he’s finally home, with his wonderful family who is giving him all the love he’s missed,” the spokeswoman continued.

Remy was also given a lovely new name, Milou, to commemorate his new happy life.”

We’d like to express our gratitude to the adoptive family as well as everyone who applied for Remy’s adoption.

“Thank you all so much for thinking about adopting a pet.
