Monkeypox 4th case reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Another case of monkeypox (Mpox) has been confirmed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, marking the fourth instance of the virus in the province.

The Health Department has identified the infected individual as a 47-year-old man who recently returned from abroad. The patient was detected during routine screening at Peshawar Airport and was subsequently transferred to the Police Services Hospital for treatment.

In response to the rising number of Mpox cases, the provincial health department has taken proactive measures by establishing isolation wards in selected government hospitals across all districts, including Peshawar.

The Director of Public Health, Arshad Roghani, emphasized the department’s commitment to containing the spread of the virus.
