Kate Middleton\u00a0isn’t going to let\u00a0Meghan Markle\u00a0walk over the\u00a0Royal family, it’s been claimed.<\/p>\n

The whole world has been watching the struggle for publicity as Meghan and Harry enjoy their new lifestyle in Los Angeles while the Royal family continue their duty here in the UK.<\/p>\n

And after\u00a0Prince Harry\u00a0and pregnant Meghan Markle’s Oprah chat, “prim” and “nice” Kate has totally transformed and she’s “fighting back” \u2014 according to comedian Jenny Eclair.<\/p>\n

Speaking about Kate and Meghan’s so-called rivalry, actress Jenny wrote in\u00a0The Independent column: “Kate, it seems, isn’t going to allow herself, William or her children to get walked over. She is fighting back.”<\/p>\n

Since the sensationalised Oprah chat, the Loose Women star said Kate and William have been showing a different side to the Royal family.<\/p>\n

They appear to be giving more of a glimpse into their lives.<\/p>\n

The Duchess of Cambridge won the hearts of many for her low-key visit to Sarah Everard’s vigil on Clapham Common to lay flowers in March.<\/p>\n

Recently, the Royal family shared candid birthday snaps from Prince Louis’ third birthday which Jenny noted showed they were “so ordinary despite being Royal”.<\/p>\n

In comparison, Meghan and Harry’s photo offering only showed Archie with his back to the camera on his second birthday.<\/p>\n

When Prince William and Kate celebrated their 10th anniversary together, they appeared down-to-earth with their family video from the seaside with their kids.<\/p>\n

The couple have also marked another Royal first with the launch of their YouTube channel which instantly got everyone’s attention.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan both spoke out with appearances at the star-studded VAX Live alongside A-list stars including:\u00a0Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck.<\/p>\n

In recent days, Kate and Meghan have also both made their mark on the publishing world with their new books.<\/p>\n

The Duchess of Cambridge’s photography book Hold Still, a telling account of people’s lives during the\u00a0coronavirus\u00a0pandemic in single snapshots, become an instant bestseller.<\/p>\n

Money from her book will be given to charity Mind and The National Portrait Gallery.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, The Duchess of Sussex will have to wait to see how her children’s book The Bench will be received when it hits shelves but it has already attracted some criticism.<\/p>\n

Over the past few months, Kate has proved tougher than she was ever given credit for in the past in Jenny’s eyes.<\/p>\n

She added in her column: “I know it is wrong to cast these two women as royal soap opera rivals, but I can’t help it – and until recently I wouldn’t have put my money on Kate taking the upper hand.<\/p>\n

“But these days, if I were Meghan, in the unlikely event that they should end up at the same pool party, I wouldn’t stand too close to Kate – she’s tougher than I gave her credit for.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
