He was arrested by Pakistan in 2008 but later released on bail.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan maintains that India didn\u2019t provide concrete evidence to convict Lakhvi.<\/p>\n<p>According to a UN Security Council sanctions committee, Lakhvi is the chief of operations and military commander of the LeT. \u201cIn this capacity, Lakhavi has directed LeT operations, including in the Chechnya Republic in Russian Federation, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iraq, and South-East Asia,\u201d\u00a0the sanctions committee\u00a0<strong>says<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A special
