{"id":12157,"date":"2021-10-29T14:42:58","date_gmt":"2021-10-29T14:42:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyrapidnews.com\/eng\/?p=12157"},"modified":"2021-10-29T14:49:41","modified_gmt":"2021-10-29T14:49:41","slug":"pak-russia-reassert-to-finalize-3bn-gas-pipeline-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyrapidnews.com\/eng\/2021\/10\/29\/pak-russia-reassert-to-finalize-3bn-gas-pipeline-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Pak-Russia reassert to finalize $3bn gas pipeline project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: Pakistan, and Russia concluded the fourth Russia-Pakistan Joint Technical Committee meeting in the country\u2019s federal capital, reaffirming their commitment towards the strategic project and finalising the shareholders\u2019 agreement in November.<br \/>\nA joint statement issued by the Petroleum Division cited \u201cBoth sides have reaffirmed their unequivocal commitment towards the strategic project and resolved to finalise the SHA during the month of November as agreed earlier\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe parties agreed to continue working on the draft SHA during the next week and further agreed to resume negotiations in Islamabad from the week starting November 8, 2021,\u201d it further added.<\/p>\n<p>CEO of the Russian Nominated Entity, Vladimir Shcherbatykh, and the other senior officials led the Russian Technical Committee. The Russian dignitaries also commended the South Asian country for hosting the meeting in a cordial atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>Secretary Petroleum Division Dr. Arshad Mahmood led the Pakistan side technical committee while the crucial meeting was also attended by senior officials of the AG Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Law and Justice, Ministry of Finance, the SECP, the OGRA, ISGS, GHPL, and other officers from the Petroleum Division.<\/p>\n<p>During the crucial meet, Pak-Russian officials exchanged their views on the global practices for financing similar infrastructure projects, their experience in the Asian and global markets.<\/p>\n<p>Pak Stream Gas Pipeline is the flagship project in bilateral relations between Pakistan and Russia that have been marked by friendly relations.
