LAHORE: <\/strong>The Federal Investigation Agency’s request to terminate Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Shehbaz Sharif’s bail in the money laundering case was denied by a Lahore court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On April 11, the former Punjab chief minister was summoned by the court for indictment in the case and a renewal of his temporary release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif alleged that Prime Minister Imran Khan<\/a> violated the constitution by dissolving the assemblies in a press conference with other opposition leaders hours before appearing at the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The imposition of civilian martial law by Imran Niazi yesterday would be remembered as a terrible day in Pakistan’s history.” On November 3, 2007, Musharraf did the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Imran Niazi “made use of the deputy speaker as a tool,” he told the reporters in Islamabad. Other opposition figures in attendance included Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, MQM-P Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Jamiat Ulema e Islam-F (JUI-F) General Secretary Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, and JUI-F leader Asad Mehmood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shehbaz Sharif questioned why a no-confidence motion was included to the National Assembly’s calendar for discussion if it was unlawful. He claimed that a dangerous joke was being performed on the constitution, parliament, and the people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He claimed Imran Khan had begun issuing treason certificates. They never called someone a traitor, he claimed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PML-N president questioned why, if the purported threat letter was received on March 7, the issue was not mentioned in the NA session on March 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also stated that he will not participate in the temporary prime minister’s consultation. “We demand early elections, but we also want legal improvements before the elections,” he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the Supreme Court was unable to stop past army chiefs Zia ul Haq and Pervez Musharraf, Bilawal Zardari expressed hope that it would be able to stop Imran Khan’s actions. The Supreme Court should decide if Imran’s ego or the constitution is more essential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
