ISLAMABAD:<\/strong> The National Assembly will hold a raucous session today, with the no-confidence resolution against Prime Minister Imran Khan on the agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Security has been stepped up in Islamabad ahead of today’s NA session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rangers, FC authorities have been stationed in the area for the session, which will begin at 10:30 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The no-confidence motion, which is the fourth item on the six-point agenda, should be included here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notably, the Supreme Court took notice of the political turbulence when Prime Minister Imran Khan dissolved the National Assembly on Sunday, after a contentious order by the NA deputy speaker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Thursday, the Supreme Court ordered NA Speaker Asad Qaiser to call a special session on Saturday (today) to allow for the vote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Supreme Court further stated that the session could not be adjourned until the no-trust motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan was resolved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The resolution was declared pending and subsisting at all times and continues to be pending and subsisting.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PM Imran Khan, on the other side, spoke to the country on Friday, calling for a nonviolent protest against the “imported government.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Prime Minister asked the people, particularly the youth, to stand up for their sovereignty and voiced his unhappiness with the Supreme Court’s decision.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
