Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, surprised his fans by revealing that he was staying at a friend’s house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During his recent lecture with TED’s Chris Anderson on Saturday, the Tesla CEO revealed that his personal consumption is not as high as many images.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“It would be very difficult if I spent billions of dollars on personal consumption every year, but that is not the case.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“In fact, I don’t even own a home right now; I’m basically staying at friends’ houses,” he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
‘When I go to the Bay Area, where most of Tesla’s engineering is done, I simply rotate around friends’ spare bedrooms,’ Musk explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I don’t own a boat.” I don’t take vacations at all. It’s not like my personal use is excessive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
