In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, the Seorita singer spoke up about her mental health difficulties, claiming she couldn’t ‘function’ and that it prompted her to seek counselling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cabello explained, “I didn’t go back in the studio for a couple months.” I’d just ended a counselling session. I was unable to do anything because I was unable to function. I couldn’t work because I was sick. And I found a therapist who spoke to me in a language I could comprehend.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“And stepping into the studio and saying, ‘I’m not going to do it if it doesn’t make me happy,’ was a significant part of that healing.” This is not going to be a performance. For me, it’s too much. “I’m not going to do it,” the 25-year-old singer stated emphatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“It has to be something that makes me feel better and improves my situation because I can’t allow this to become a source of worry or stress for me.” “I’m not going to do something like that.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“And that’s why, for me, being among others was so important,” the singer explained, revealing how anxiety forced her to isolate herself.
