In a Virginia courtroom on Thursday, while the Aquaman actor\u2019s lawyers cross-examined the Pirates of the Caribbean star, Johnny Depp insisted on being assaulted by his ex-wife Amber Heard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Depp denied ever physically or sexually abusing Heard, stating that it was Heard who attacked him violently, according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Depp further claimed that an op-ed she wrote for The Washington Post in 2018 in which she referred to herself as a \u201cpublic figure embodying domestic abuse\u201d hurt his career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Depp, the essay damaged his Hollywood reputation unfairly, costing him the part of Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
