In 2021, the research predicts a “significant increase in various types of anti-Semitic actions in most nations with large Jewish populations.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Outside of Israel, the United States has the world’s largest Jewish population, and the number of anti-Jewish hate crimes reported in New York and Los Angeles nearly doubled from the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Between 2010 and 2015, the number of anti-Semitic incidents in France increased by more than 75%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In August, a major Jewish organization in Canada reported a 40-year peak in anti-Semitic physical violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Between 2010 and 2020, the number of reported physical assaults on Jews in the United Kingdom increased by 78 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Germany, police-recorded anti-Semitic offences rose by 29% from 2020 to 2019, and by 49% from 2019 to 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Anti-Semitic incidents have also increased significantly in Australia, with 88 registered in May alone, the highest monthly total ever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The authors of the research ascribe the increase in anti-Semitic incidents to reactions to hostilities in the Gaza Strip between Israel and Palestinian militants in May 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
