According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the current heat wave will last till Monday in most regions of the country<\/a>, putting a strain on water reservoirs, standing crops, vegetables, and orchards (PMD).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Zaheer Ahmed Babar, spokesman for the PMD, told APP that heat wave conditions would continue in most regions of the country till Monday (May 02), with day temperatures expected to progressively rise from an overall low of 5-8 degrees Celsius due to high pressure in the upper atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Upper and Central Sindh, Central and South Punjab, and parts of Balochistan, daytime temperatures are expected to be 06-08 degrees Celsius above normal, while in Upper Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan, daytime temperatures are expected to be 06-08 degrees Celsius above normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Zaheer Babar added that the current hat wave may inflict water stress on water reservoirs, standing crops, vegetables, and orchards because to the extreme heat and dryness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Farmers, he said, must manage crop water appropriately. The general public should avoid direct sunlight whenever possible. Water should be used wisely in all parts of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The weather for the forthcoming Eid-ul-Fitr is likely to be dusty with gusty winds and thunderstorms on Tuesday (May 03) and Wednesday (May 04) in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore, Gujranwala, and other places, according to the spokesman.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
