KARACHI: Jazz has spent Rs14.9 billion in Pakistan during the first quarter of 2022 as part of its ‘4G for everyone’ vision, bringing its total investment in Pakistan to $10.2 billion, according to a statement released on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During this quarter, the majority of its capital investment was spent on the deployment of about 500 new 4G sites, bringing its population coverage of its 4G service to 55.7 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This network<\/a> development was critical in boosting Jazz’s 4G customer base by 27.8 percent year on year to 36.7 million, while its overall subscriber count approached 75 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jazz CEO Aamir Ibrahim stated that the company is constantly investing in improving the coverage and capacity of its 4G network, primarily in semi-urban and rural regions, in order to enable the underserved, particularly women, to benefit from its digital services offering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Jazz remains dedicated to removing barriers to an inclusive digital environment, such as device affordability, so that our fellow people may access health, financial, and other life-enhancing services via mobile broadband,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JazzCash, the network’s digital banking service, with 15.7 million monthly active users and 145, 000 active merchants. Jazz World, its self-care app, continued to have high consumer uptake, with monthly active users increasing by 23.1% to 10.5 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other streaming and entertainment sites’ growth climbed many times throughout the quarter, including Tamasha, Bajao, Jazz Cricket, and Deikho.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
