Peter Harley intends to row from Virginia Beach to La Trinit\u00e9-sur-Mer, France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He expects the journey to take at least three months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m not nervous,\u201d Harley stated. \u201cI\u2019ve spent a lot of time on boats at sea in South Africa, so I kind of know what\u2019s coming and I\u2019m not scared.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harley is from South Africa and migrated to the United States in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He\u2019s confident in his 24-foot rowboat, which includes a storage compartment, a sleeping cabin, and solar panels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m afraid the bathroom is simply a bucket,\u201d Harley remarked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ship also has a desalinate, which cleanses and converts ocean water into drinking water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Staying in touch with relatives will be easier with the solar panels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The preparation for such a journey, according to Harley, is no laughing matter. It \u201ctakes a huge lot of discipline, concentration, and focus,\u201d according to the author.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cExercising for the trans-Atlantic expedition took 28 months, 13 of which were spent training seven days a week.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For almost a year, Harley has been preparing himself. Eight months ago, he modified his eating habits to prepare his body for time away from the kitchen. He\u2019ll consume protein bars, cereal, and pasta on board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bonnie Evans, his daughter, is equally enthusiastic about the voyage and claims she is not afraid.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
