In a press conference on Capitol Hill on Friday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi expressed her desire that the $33 billion request to Congress is approved \u201cas quickly as feasible.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over $20 billion in guns and ammunition will be used to strengthen Ukraine\u2019s<\/a> defenses, as well as $3 billion in humanitarian aid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The emergency funding are backed by both Democrats and Republicans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pelosi, on the other hand, was unable to say how long the funds<\/a> would be approved by the parliamentary body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

President Volodymyr Zelensky compared the aid package to the Lend-Lease Act of the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He made the comparison since it aided in Adolf Hitler\u2019s defeat during WWII.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Russia\u2019s actions in Ukraine have been characterized as a \u201cspecial operation\u201d aimed at disarming Ukraine and defending it against fascists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
