Bill Gates appeared to indicate in a recent stunning interview that he was the principal reason for the divorce of his 27-year marriage to Melinda Gates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWere you unfaithful in your marriage?\u201d the Microsoft founder was asked while promoting his new book with Today presenter Savannah Guthrie. \u201cWas this a contributing factor in the divorce?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In response to this simple question, Bill just stated, \u201cI definitely made mistakes, and I accept responsibility.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI don\u2019t believe going into the particulars at this time is beneficial,\u201d Bill said, \u201cbut certainly, I caused anguish, and I feel terrible about it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bill\u2019s comments come about a year after he and his ex-wife Melinda announced their divorce. At the time, Bill admitted to having an affair with a Microsoft employee \u201calmost 20 years ago.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
