Pakistan has flatly rejected the recommendation of the so-called \u201cdelimitation panel\u201d for Indian-controlled Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a press release from the Foreign Office, the Indian Charge d\u2019Affaires was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday and handed over a demarche conveying Pakistan\u2019s categorical rejection of the report of the so-called \u2018Delimitation Commission,\u2019 which was aimed at disenfranchising and disempowering the Muslim majority population of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This entire process was described as \u201cfarcical\u201d and had previously been rejected by a cross-section of political groups in IIOJK, according to the Indian side. India\u2019s goal with this attempt was to give \u2018legitimacy\u2019 to its illegal conduct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was stressed that the Indian government\u2019s ulterior aim could be seen in the fact that, under the guise of \u201cdelimitation,\u201d Muslim representation in re-designated seats had been decreased to their disadvantage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis demolished the Indian government\u2019s argument that the \u2018delimitation endeavor\u2019 was intended to \u2018empower\u2019 the local population. The revised election boundaries, on the other hand, would further disempower, isolate, and divide the inhabitants of the occupied territories. It would only pave the way for the installation of another BJP-RSS puppet dictatorship \u201cthe declaration said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jammu and Kashmir<\/a> dispute was emphasized to the Indian Cd\u2019A as a globally recognized conflict and a long-standing item on the UN Security Council\u2019s agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Any illegal, unilateral, and devious attempt by India to give the Hindu population disproportionately higher electoral representation at the expense of the Muslim population, according to the FO statement, is a mockery of all democratic norms, morality, and India\u2019s obligations under UN Security Council Resolutions and international law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was also emphasized that the Indian government must refrain from making any illegal demographic changes in the occupied territory, end its oppression in the IIOJK immediately, and allow the Kashmiri people to decide their own future through a free and fair plebiscite under UN auspices, as stipulated in relevant UN Security Council resolutions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
