A MAN is struggling for his life after allegedly being stabbed in the neck at a Newcastle hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the incident at St. Nicolas Hospital in Gosforth on Tuesday afternoon, a 42-year-old man was detained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At around 12.20 p.m., police were dispatched to the site after receiving complaints of an attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officers discovered the 40-year-old man had been stabbed in the neck and back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is currently in critical but stable condition in the hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 42-year-old suspect was apprehended on the spot and is still being held by police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event has now been investigated by the police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Police in Northumbria,” stated a representative for the force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“At around 12:20 p.m., officers responded to the location where a male had suffered neck and back injuries consistent with a bladed article.” A 42-year-old male was detained on the spot and is still being held by police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
