After dealing with her own mental health, a woman who became a psychiatric nurse says it fulfils her soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ioana Stancu, 22, of Newport, became a nurse after her mental health began to improve after a battle with melancholy and anxiety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I work for the love of it, not for the money,” she explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ioana now utilizes TikTok to encourage individuals to open out about their feelings and to let them know they are not alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Better mental health support is needed, according to a nonprofit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“No matter how horrible I feel or how bad my day is, the moment I step through the hospital door, I feel happy,” she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It makes me glad to know that I am there and that I am helping<\/a> my patients.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
