In just over a week, the cheap retailer will say goodbye to its domain name, shop.poundland.co.uk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Customers will be thrown into a loop since they will no longer be able to order directly from the bargain shop online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Customers have until midnight on May 27 to purchase products from the store’s online before it closes its virtual doors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It’s because the discount retailer will redirect thousands of products to Poundshop.com.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Poundland purchased the comparable online cheap retail business in March, with intentions to transfer over its own products, such as its Pep&Co collection, for additional customers to enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Poundland.co.uk, on the other hand, isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, so fans can still explore inexpensive goods and see what’s available in-store from the comfort of their own homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In an experiment last June, Poundland set up a separate online gateway (the shop.poundland.co.uk site) that would allow thousands of shoppers to order directly to their doors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Poundland products could be ordered for home delivery in selected postcodes in Birmingham and Walsall, as well as across the Midlands and into South Yorkshire, as part of the test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Those services, however, will be discontinued when the site permanently closes later this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That is why executives are eager to introduce Poundland’s products to the internet store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“It’s lovely to enthusiastically welcome the Poundshop.com team to Poundland,” stated Barry Williams, Poundland’s managing director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“With this acquisition, we are putting force and speed behind our ambitions.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To make our incredible items and value available to customers across the UK and Ireland, regardless of where they buy.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The site already offers standard delivery on orders over \u00a310, as well as next-day delivery for consumers willing to pay a little extra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And you’ll still be able to get all of your favorite Poundland items, such as the “iconic” Twin Peaks chocolate bar and #6 Beauty brands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
