When your grandfather is the Prince of Wales, you’d expect some very nice birthday presents – and Prince George got one for \u00a318,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To commemorate his first birthday, the baby king was given a fairly expensive Wendy house to play in at his grandfather’s residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Given the high price, you’d think this playhouse would be a little more spectacular than your average children’s Wendy house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a wood-burning stove and a day bed, Prince George’s version is clearly more upscale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has been installed in the garden of Prince Charles’ residence, Highgrove, and is ready for the little prince, now eight years old, to play in with his siblings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Wendy house is a hand-hut,’ built \u2018shepherd\u2019s a 12ft x 6ft Victorian-style playhouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visitors to Prince Charles<\/a>‘ Gloucestershire residence can catch a glimpse of it during a guided tour of the 15-acre gardens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hut was given to Prince George as a birthday present by the Dorset-based company Plankbridge as a thank you for financing from the Prince’s Trust.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
