The 2022 Sunday Times Rich List has revealed the wealthiest persons in the UK, with billionaire brothers Sri and Gopi Hinduja topping the list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The super-rich twins, who head the Mumbai-based conglomerate Hinduja Group, are worth a whopping \u00a328.47 billion, an increase of more than \u00a311 billion from previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their father, Parmanand Deepchand Hinduj, founded their international corporation after trading products in India’s Sindh province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He relocated the company’s headquarters to Iran in 1919, and his sons relocated it to London in 1979.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The brothers allege their father told them to “advance bravely” shortly before his death in 1971.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sons took the company global, investing in everything from trucking to banking, IT, and media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the source, there were a record 177 billionaires in the UK, six more than in 2021, as the wealthiest figures in the UK increased their combined fortunes by 8% to a record \u00a3710 billion in just 12 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
