The first trailer for the Korean adaption Money Heist: Korea \u2013 Joint Economic Area Part 1 was released on YouTube on Thursday. While earlier teasers revealed the cast and professor’s plans, this time the cops and the robbers are fighting it out in the fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The description reads, “A radical new vision of the ultimate robbery in a country without borders.” The trailer begins with a breaking news broadcast that reads, “The Democratic Republic of Korea, in collaboration with South Korea, declares an emergency.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The voiceover continues with the professor’s strategy, as he is heard saying, “We assumed that once the North was opened up, everyone would gain. However, only the wealthy became wealthier. Hello and welcome to capitalism. It’s time for those of us who have nothing to claim our entitlements. We’re planning to pull off the biggest money heist ever.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The plot twist in the adaptation, which premieres on June 24, is that Korea is on the cusp of unification, and there is a Joint Security Area \u2014 where contemporary North and South Korea are divided \u2014 that holds a mint, the primary target of the thieves.
