Hundreds of purple-clad mourners gathered to honor the life of a mother of two whose body was discovered in a woodland a week after she went missing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Katie Kenyon’s body was discovered seven days after she was last seen leaving Burnley in a silver Ford Transit van in the Forest of Bowland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Burnley resident Andrew Burfield, 50, has been accused with her murder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms Kenyon’s family had requested that attendees dress in her favorite color or something bright for her funeral in Padiham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Floral tributes to “Katie” and “Mum” were placed on top of the carriage, and purple balloons were fastened to the exterior of the town center church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 33-year-funeral old’s would be followed by a private burial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her family characterized her death as a “heartbreaking nightmare,” while her sister Jenny said she will always cherish her “beautiful big sister.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms Kenyon died as a result of head injuries, according to a post-mortem examination conducted by the Home Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
