In this, the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee year, Prince Andrew has been a near-constant focal point in the Royal Family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following his decision to settle out of court with Virginia Giuffre, 62-year-old Prince Andrew’s public life has been radically altered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andrew, the Queen’s <\/a>third child, is Charles, Prince of Wales’ and Anne, Princess Royal’s younger brother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With only a few days till her four-day Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend, it has been revealed that the Queen will almost certainly not receive the Trooping the Colour salute for the first time in her 70-year reign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead, preparations are being developed to replace her with three royals: Prince William, Prince Harry, and Prince Charles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andrew, like all senior members of the monarchy, was involved in a wide range of causes and activities, including military service. However, due to his unwanted attention, the Royal Family has changed the titles and awards associated with the Duke of York’s name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many of his military titles and patronage associations have been revoked. Buckingham Palace issued a statement in January 2022, before the settlement was finalized, saying: “With the Queen’s approval and assent, the Duke of York’s military associations and royal patronages have been returned to the Queen.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While his military honours have been abolished, Prince Andrew retains his title and peerage as the Duke of York, as well as his status as a Counsellor of State.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
