The Supreme Court of Pakistan advised the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the opposition Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to meet down and address the matter to prevent conflict during a petition hearing over road closures and raids on PTI activists.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The case of IHCBA President Shoaib Shaheen was taken up by a three-judge panel of the Supreme Court, headed by Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan and included Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Sayyed Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The court ruled that the government and the PTI should work together to choose a location for the protest, and that the PTI employees should videotape their demonstrations and then return to their homes when they had finished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Protests on the Srinagar Highway cannot be staged, thus the Islamabad chief commissioner must advise the court by 2:30 p.m. of another location, according to the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

H-9 Grounds would be ideal for a rally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before returning, PTI requested permission to stage a demonstration at H-9 Ground, where JUI-F had been permitted to organize a rally against PTI rule in the past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among Imran Khan’s four requests, according to PTI lawyer Babar Awan, is that the government remove road blockades, free the party’s incarcerated members, stop conducting raids on the residences and legal offices of PTI supporters, and protect the sanctity of family homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attorney General Shahidullah Naqvi was questioned by Justice Naqvi if the government had given alternate demonstration locations for the Pakistani Taliban.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The government provided Democracy Park and several other venues to PTI to stage their protest, but it was intent on arranging its demonstration on the Srinagar Highway,” AGP Ashtar Ausaf said. \u201cAccording to AGP Ausaf, the situation on the Srinagar Highway will have ramifications for the whole city. The judge answered, “But the roadway has already been shut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was ordered that Interior Secretary tell the court why highways were restricted and PTI leaders were detained. The police chiefs and other relevant authorities, she said, will have to account for these arrests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Imran’s sit-in on Srinagar Highway was not allowed due of security concerns, AGP Ausaf stated as the session continued. He went on to say that security authorities believe Imran might be the next suicide bomber’s target.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
