Deborah James attends the Chelsea Flower Show to witness the rose named after her and says, “It meant absolutely everything to me.”<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

DAME Deborah James went to the Chelsea Flower Show yesterday and saw a rose named after her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The award meant “absolutely everything” to the writer, 40, who celebrated with a glass of bubbly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mum-of-two Deborah<\/a>, who was transferred to end-of-life care for colon cancer earlier this month, arrived with husband Sebastien Bowen for an hour-long special tour organized by the Sophie Raworth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When she came in her wheelchair on Tuesday evening, she was seen gushing “how wonderful” and “this is amazing.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deborah said last week that she hopes her 12-year-old daughter Eloise will have it in her wedding bouquet one day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The floribunda rose is white with a hint of pink in the centre. It has been repeat blossoming since early June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deborah, who prefers roses, told that “flowers are a reminder of our future.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We plant the seed with no idea what we will see grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Being in nature lifts us up and serves as a reminder that life continues to bloom, even in the most difficult areas, and puts a smile to all of our faces, especially mine.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

World of Roses and the Harkness Rose Company debuted the rose at the flower expo on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every rose sold will raise \u00a32.50 for the BowelBabe Fund, which raised a whopping \u00a36.4 million last year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
