Imran Khan<\/a> on Friday disbanded reports that he’d struck a deal in exchange for ending the party’s Azadi March, saying that he did so in order to avoid bloodshed.<\/p>\n\n\n\nHe expressed the views while addressing a press conference in Peshawar, adding that he’d take to the thoroughfares again if early choices weren’t blazoned. He rued how police officers attacked the actors of the march, condemning the government for hand- picking officers to target the PTI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
” Our workers asked why we didn’t carry a sit- heft. I’m the man who offered a sit- heft for 126 days. It wasn’t delicate for me, but by the time I reached I came apprehensive of the extent of the situation(.) I knew that day that there would be bloodshed.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Imran said the people were” ready” after seeing the” terrorism” carried out through the police.” Everyone was ready to fight, some of our people were so infuriated by what they saw,” he said, adding that officers were instructed to brutalise protesters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
” The wrathfulness at the time, if I had offered a sit- in that day I can guarantee that there would have been bloodshed,” he said, adding that there was a prevailing sense of abomination against police officers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
” But the police is also ours, it isn’t their fault,” the PTI president said, condemning the government for issuing thedirectives.However, he said, If there was violence also it would only have caused chaos in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
” Don’t suppose it was our weakness and do not suppose that a deal was made. I’m hearing strange effects that a deal was made with the establishment. I didn’t make a deal with anyone,” he said, adding that the only motive behind his conduct was concern for the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also made it clear that the PTI would not negotiate with or accept the” imported government”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
” I suppose of this as a jihad. I’ll stand up against this as long as I’m alive,” he said, reiterating that he only watched about the future of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Imran again stressed on his six- day claim to the government for the advertisement of earlyelections. However, I’ll take to the thoroughfares again,” If they don’t easily advertise a date for the choices or for the dissolution of the assemblies. Let me make it clear, this time we will be prepared.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said that protesters weren’t prepared for the way they were attacked by the police. After the Supreme Court issued the order, we allowed all the leaguers would be removed and there would be no issue with the police, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Imran claimed that the government was” hysterical”, pointing out how they pressurised media channels and braked down internet services.” No bone knew what was going on. There was confusion.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also nominated his party workers” icons” for taking to the thoroughfares in the public interest.” You came out for the country’s haqeeqi azadi( true freedom).”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Have written letter to CJP’<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lamenting how people were injured due to shelling at Islamabad’s D- Chowk, Imran said he’d written to Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial asking whether or not the party had the right to carry a peaceful kick in a republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
” This is the abecedarian right of a citizen(.) I ask our bar, do you suppose we will remain silent( like) lamb and accept all of this? If you suppose this, it means that we’re pushing the country towardstreason.However, what other options do they’ve left?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you don’t allow people to carry peaceful demurrers.He said that he’d written a letter to the CJP to make his position” clear”, reiterating that he’d take to the thoroughfares again after six days. In six days we will find out whether or not the apex court protects our abecedarian rights, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The manner in which attorneys and women were forced to disembark from a machine and were” beaten”, had anyone seen commodity like that ahead, he asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
” Which justice system allows this? The entire nation should know who stands for( their) rights and who’s carrying out oppression.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Responding to a question from a journalist, Imran reiterated that the party would take to the thoroughfares formerly again after the six- day deadline, calling on the SC to give protection. But if the government uses the same tactics also they will be responsible for the direction the country will head toward, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Imran also said that the door for negotiating with the government was always open.” We aren’t then to fight. Our only ideal is choices in June and dissolution of assemblies.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said that the stylish way to achieve this would be to do this through addresses, but if they didn’t succeed also demurrers would be the way to go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
‘ Govt succumbed to IMF pressure’<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Talking about the decision to hike the prices of all petroleum products by Rs30, Imran abused the government for” succumbing” to the International Monetary Fund’s( IMF) pressure, asking whether such a massive hike had been seen ever ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
” When we were raising petrol prices due to a global increase in prices(.) at one point we decided that we’d not further burden the people(.) we decided petrol prices would not be increased till June.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The PTI president said that the government’s decision would impact the prices of all goods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
” They weren’t suitable to bear the IMF’s pressure. They do not have the capacity to repel pressure as it is. I’ve concluded that external forces don’t want Pakistan to stand on its own two bases.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Imran said that the government didn’t have the capability to manage the country, pointing out how the rupee had downgraded and affectation had soared since it assumed charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do they not know it’ll give way to resentment among the people, he asked, pressing the current situation in Sri Lanka.” Look at where Sri Lanka is within a matter of a many months. They’re pushing us in that direction.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said that the PTI government had also faced pressure from the Fund to increase energy prices but remained firm on its decision. He said that the government’s decision would only beget resentment and disappointment among the people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Talking about his visit to Russia during his term in office, Imran said that India had bought canvas from the Kremlin at a reduction of 30 per cent. We planned to do the same, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
” My issue is India is a free country and it’s allowed to buy canvas and military outfit from Russia despite being a strategic supporter( of the US). Why not us? And why is there so important wrathfulness over Imran Khan going to Russia and making deals?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Imran said that the nation was now” paying the price of slavery”.” They( government) didn’t have the guts to say that at least 50 million of our people are below the poverty line(.) Could they not have said that this step would have increased poverty?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
