Mum becomes pregnant while already expecting a child and gives birth to \u2018miracle’ twins.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A mother who had three miscarriages has revealed how she went on to have \u2018miracle’ twins – by falling pregnant while already pregnant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the birth of their son Wyatt in 2018, Cara Winhold, 30, and her husband Blake, 33, hoped to expand their family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The couple from Texas, US, became pregnant in March 2021 after three miscarriages, one of which was nearly fatal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cara discovered she was expecting two babies, one conceived a week apart, during her second scan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Superfetation is an extremely rare occurrence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It occurs when a second, new pregnancy occurs during the first pregnancy and can happen days later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cara, of North Richland Hills, Texas, stated that there is currently a four-pound weight difference between Colson and his younger brother Cayden, requiring her to purchase two sizes of clothing and diapers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She encourages anyone who can relate to her story not to give up if having children is a part of their story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I became pregnant while already pregnant.” ‘What happened?’ I asked the doctor. He was not present the first time. “What is going on?” Cara stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“She said that I most likely ovulated twice, released two eggs, and they fertilized about a week apart.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
