Tui, the holiday company, is cancelling more flights as passengers face continued disruption ahead of the Jubilee bank holiday weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tui will cancel six flights per day until the end of June, affecting approximately 34,000 passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Other airlines have also cancelled flights, as approximately two million people prepare to fly in the coming days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One family said their children were “devastated” after their flight was cancelled with less than two days’ notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Joanna Chandramani said she, her husband, and their seven-year-old twin girls were scheduled to fly to Turkey on Wednesday, but she received a text on Monday evening informing her that their trip had been cancelled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ms Chandramani stated that Tui had now offered them vouchers, but the family refused to re-book with them and instead flew with Jet2 to Mallorca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We’ve given up on Tui,” she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Customers affected by cancellations will receive a full refund for their vacations “as well as an extra gesture of goodwill,” according to Tui.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the company, the cancellations accounted for approximately 4% of its flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
