SHE has been fiercely private about her motherhood, giving fans only brief glimpses of her son Bear since his birth in 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But now Cheryl Tweedy’s ex-boyfriend Liam Payne \u2014 the boy’s father \u2014 has opened up about their lives as co-parents following their split a year after the boy was born.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his most candid interview to date, the former One Direction singer admitted that becoming a father was difficult for him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And, despite Bear’s earlier arrival in the world, he said Cheryl, who is ten years his senior, assisted him in adjusting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“She haemorrhaged quite badly giving birth, so she was asleep for the first day,” Liam, 28, explained. It was just me and a baby in the room, and I had to look after it.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“She is the best mother in the world,” he added. I couldn’t have asked for a better person. He is everything to her, and I couldn’t ask for anything more.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Liam and Cheryl had a two-year romance beginning in 2016 \u2014 eight years after he auditioned in front of her as a judge on The X Factor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Their budding romance was first revealed after they were seen holding hands at the Brit Awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
