you are aware of these changes so that you can plan for any changes in your payments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Universal Credit is used by nearly six million households in the United Kingdom and is gradually replacing six other benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It can be difficult to determine how much you can claim because it is dependent on your circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This includes your living situation, employment, and any income and savings you may have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These circumstances are then assessed monthly, causing your Universal Credit to fluctuate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, there are some very specific reasons why your money could be reduced or temporarily stopped &#8211; and it&#8217;s critical to understand why.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are responsible for a child or adolescent, you will be eligible for the work allowance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You have a disability or a medical condition that interferes with your ability to work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you receive housing assistance, your work allowance is \u00a3344; if you do not, your work allowance is \u00a3573.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;ve received an advance payment, hardship payment, or budgeting advance, it will be deducted from your future Universal Credit payments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is because they are all technically loans that must be repaid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An advance payment is money given to new Universal Credit
