Lance Justin Stephens, 29, Matthew Allen Crawford, 29, and Christopher Allen Blevins, 37, escaped from a Missouri jail on Friday morning by climbing through a roof hole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Three inmates who escaped by cutting through the ceiling are still on the run four days later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officials have not disclosed how long the trio, all of whom are considered armed and dangerous, were missing before their disappearance was discovered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Barry County Sheriff’s Office detective Doug Henry, the escape was possible because the building was old and had plaster ceilings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Authorities believe the escapees have fled the area and are no longer in contact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“One was seen in Arkansas, and another in Springfield,” Henry explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the sheriff’s website, Stephens is charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a weapon, Crawford with theft, and Blevins with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon, and resisting a lawful stop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“If you have any information on where the suspects are or where they are going, we welcome your tips,” the sheriff’s office said on Facebook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He had also been imprisoned five years before, at the age of 15, for fatally beating Paul Akister outside a pub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He had been released four times in the previous decade but was recalled each time after breaking rules and going on drug and alcohol binges.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
