href=\"https:\/\/dailyrapidnews.com\/eng\/2021\/05\/09\/covid-19-how-effective-are-the-vaccines-against-coronavirus-variantss\/\">Covid vaccines<\/a> could be crucial in finding a cure for pancreatic cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to report, a vaccine based on the same mRNA theory has been developed to prevent tumors from returning after surgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After 18 months, half of the patients who received the vaccine were cancer-free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The deadly disease kills nine out of every ten people diagnosed within two years, making it the most common cancer with the worst prognosis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new vaccine was created.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pancreatic cancer kills approximately 10,000 people in the United Kingdom each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, according to the findings of a trial presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology, vaccines can train the immune system to kill disease-associated cells.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A similar study is currently underway for bowel cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new mRNA vaccine trains the body&#8217;s immune system to recognize and destroy proteins found on cancer cells that remain in the bloodstream after surgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The early-stage pancreatic cancer trial included 16 patients who received eight doses of the vaccine intravenously following tumor removal surgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Half of the patients who received the vaccine remained cancer-free throughout the
