Zoe, two, is looking for a new home in the UK after being rescued from an abandoned factory in Hungary; she is currently in foster care in Lincolnshire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This poor pooch has been subjected to the worst of humanity, being neglected, malnourished, and terrified of human touch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Zoe, a Komondor cross, was discovered abandoned with four other dogs in an old factory in Hungary, one of which was sadly deceased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The rare breed was completely sheared after arriving in the UK in July last year due to her coat’s poor condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Kennel Club classifies Komondors, also known as mop dogs, as a rare breed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They are easily accessible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Zoe is currently in foster care in Lincolnshire, but she can be rehomed anywhere in the UK through Huns Dogs for Rehoming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Zoe is a sensitive girl who can be shy around visitors coming to her home but she is fine once she has gotten used to them,” according to a statement shared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She is wary of men and children, so she requires an adult-only home. “She is an extremely kind dog with a gentle nature,” says the owner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Zoe gets along well with other dogs, enjoys playing with them, and wishes to befriend them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“She is housebroken, walks well on a leash, and travels well in the back seat of the car.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She can be left alone for a couple of hours without incident.” Her hair must be brushed and groomed on a regular basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The two-year-old requires an understanding owner who can demonstrate to her that not everyone wants to hurt her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Unfortunately, after spending 10 months in their home, she was returned by her first UK owner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Recently, in her current home, Zoe bit the owner when they wanted to put the collar on and also had an incident with a smaller dog on a walk,” the statement continues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
