According to US-born Rachel Waters, who lives in Norfolk, Paul Magee went on a visit but “was supposed to be back by now.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“He has a Mrs. and children,” a friend of Paul’s UK partner told her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Friends claimed last night that Paul, 40, was working in Shenzhen, China, when he became trapped by the pandemic \u2014 and began a relationship with Rachel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rachel, a professional volleyball player, works as a brand manager there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She is originally from South Carolina and attended university in the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She shared her story on the Norwich community notice board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I have an unusual request,” she wrote. “Paul Magee, my boyfriend, and I live in Shenzhen, China.” He visited his hometown (Norwich) in early April and was supposed to be back in China by now. However, I haven’t heard from him in a while and am concerned that something has happened. Please contact me if you have any information.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Not really funny, is it?” said a Norwich friend of Paul’s partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He has a wife and children, and I feel terrible for her right now!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And, it appears, another girlfriend in China.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Not funny for her in the least,” she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rachel, who appeared to be heartbroken, then deleted her original post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
