{"id":18787,"date":"2022-06-15T16:50:56","date_gmt":"2022-06-15T11:50:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyrapidnews.com\/eng\/?p=18787"},"modified":"2022-06-15T16:52:46","modified_gmt":"2022-06-15T11:52:46","slug":"uk-weather","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyrapidnews.com\/eng\/2022\/06\/15\/uk-weather\/","title":{"rendered":"Today will be the hottest day of the year, according to the UK weather forecast."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today will be the hottest day of the year in the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyrapidnews.com\/eng\/2022\/05\/28\/uk-weather-forecast\/\">UK, with temperatures<\/a> expected to reach 34 degrees Celsius by Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Met Office and the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) have issued a level two heat-health alert for much of southern and central England, with a level one alert in place for the rest of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Temperatures will soar beginning Wednesday, with highs in the South East reaching 28 degrees Celsius.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It would be the hottest day of the year thus far, surpassing the 27.5C record set in mid-May at Heathrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Parts of the United Kingdom will also be warmer than the Greek islands of Santorini, Mykonos, and Paros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The vast majority of England and Wales will see a lovely day on Wednesday,&#8221; said Met Office forecaster Greg Dewhurst, &#8220;though Northern Ireland and Scotland will see cloud and showers.&#8221; It will be very warm in the South East, with temperatures reaching 28 degrees Celsius, making it the warmest day of the year so far. This will be surpassed on Thursday, with temperatures rising to around 29 degrees Celsius before reaching 33 degrees Celsius and even 34 degrees Celsius on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Level one is the lowest warning and the minimum state of vigilance used during the summer on the four-level heat-health alert scale, which is designed to help healthcare
